Avalanche prevention
systems are most effective when installed in zones of
initialization. Rotec's yielding wire rope net structures
provide a strong, flexible barrier that compacts and hardens the
newly contained snow within the net system. This creates a
natural barrier that prevents the snow mass from moving down the
mountainside.
In some cases, several
rows of snow-retaining structures may be required, depending on the
specific site. The system is engineered to resist small
avalanches and minor rockfalls between rows.
