Rotec's designs are field-tested
and proven
Despite careful
observation, research and specific engineering of a given danger
zone, no computer program or calculation currently exists to design
a perfectly safe rockfall and debris flow mitigation system.
Subsequently, controlled field-testing of all retaining barriers is
necessary in order to view the response of such flexible systems
under extreme rock and debris impact.
Our specially designed rockfall
retaining systems were tested in close collaboration with competent
institutions and universities. Our tests were performed in
accordance with Swiss and European guidelines, which are similar and
in accordance with the "American Association of State Highway and
Transportation (AASHTO), Recommended Procedures for Testing Rockfall
Barriers".
To date, in excess of
100 certified rockfall field tests were performed on an
International level by our Group. In order to improve the life
span and the safety of our product, repeat testing of our rockfall
and debris flow mitigation systems and components that are currently
available on the market, has always been a first priority and
absolutely mandatory.
With this in mind, it
is obvious that our systems will live up to their expectation.
